You won't find any hard cell here

More than just 'Hi, how are you?'

In addition to the times that all meet together we also have many small groups (usually about 6-12 people) who meet together weekly in what we call Cell groups. These groups provide a basis for getting to know people on a deeper level, sharing our lives with one another.

So, what goes on then?

The Bible is a collection of historical records, poetry, wisdom, prophetic and interpretive literature recorded by Jewish and early Christian writers over many centuries. Our purpose is not academic study of the Bible, although we sometimes make use of historical, archaeological and linguistic insights to help us understand it. Our main concern is to discuss what God, who inspired the original writers, was saying at the time and to explore how He wants us to apply it to our relationships, work and leisure time today. As a group we may read a section of a book or letter from the Bible or discuss what the Bible says about a specific issue.

We don't rely on discourses from any one person but treat the evening as a chance to share together, then chew over honest questions, share insights and discuss interpretations, encouraging everyone who wishes to contribute. As we pray, discuss and often laugh together, we are challenged to become more like our leader, Jesus Christ, who put into practice all His Father's instructions in an attitude of love and humility.
